Full-Time Research Project Assistant, University of Pittsburgh Investigators (Drs. Research Coordinator for the Gratton Lab at Florida State University

Clinical Research Assistant at South County Psychiatry

The Rhode Island Methods to Improve Diagnostic Assessment and Services (MIDAS) project is looking to hire two research assistants (RAs), with a potential start date of May/June 2024. Candidates should be recent or upcoming college graduates with a psychology or neuroscience degree and an interest in going to graduate or medical school. In the South County Psychiatry outpatient psychiatry and intensive outpatient services, we have integrated research assessments into clinical practice. The MIDAS project is one of the largest clinical epidemiological studies using semi-structured diagnostic interviews ever conducted, and we have published more than 300 papers from our database. The RAs will be trained in conducting diagnostic interviews and writing clinical reports. The RAs will also be responsible for managing databases and entering data, submitting IRB applications, recruiting participants, and conducting other tasks associated with various ongoing assessment and treatment research projects in outpatient and intensive outpatient practices. Opportunities are available (and encouraged) for presenting research at national conferences and writing manuscripts for publication. The Division of Neuropsychology, Center for Autism at Children’s National Hospital have just received new major federal funding. We are seeking applications for full-time or part-time Research Assistants. Our research areas include:

Position Summary
Trans-ilience: The Transgender Stress and Resilience Research Team is seeking a Research Assistant to assist with studies focused on minority stress, coping, and mental health for transgender and gender diverse individuals. The Research Assistant will be supervised by Dr. Jae Puckett, the director of Trans-ilience. The Research Assistant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day research activities in the lab, which include assisting with IRB submissions, advertising research studies, recruitment for research studies, monitoring study procedures, assisting with data collection, data cleaning and basic analyses, producing graphs and tables of findings, and translating study findings into educational tools (e.g., infographics or reports for the general public). These tasks will require the Research Assistant to coordinate with other employees in the lab and oversee their engagement in similar tasks as well. The Research Assistant will also assist with literature searches and have the opportunity to contribute to manuscripts from the lab’s research studies.

We are a community engaged research team and the position will include outreach efforts and taking on initiatives to communicate research findings to broader, non-academic audiences. The Research Assistant will be responsible for designing outreach programs to disseminate study findings, as well as managing our social media accounts to publicly disseminate research findings.
